Welcome to LMDSRO

LMRO On-Line.

The Leon Mow Dark Sky Radio Observatory is situated in central Victoria at the Astronomical Society of Victoria Dark Sky site.

This website will be acting as a point of reference for the various experiments running at the LMDSRO site. Currently running is the Weather Station uploading graphical images of the weather every 10 minutes. Also running is a Nexstorm Lightning Detector with 5 minute updates.

Available through Skypipe is a Jovian Receiver connected to phased dipoles at 21MHz. Images from Skypipe data are available for viewing on the Jovian Receiver page.

We plan to mount a Web Based Camera at the site in coming weeks which will give visual feedback on the surrounding area conditions. An all Skycam with a fisheye lens will be next to follow which will be of great benefit to ASV members with optical telescopes.

Please visit our Gallery page with photos taken on the 3rd of January 2010 during a maintenance visit. Over the coming months we will add to the images and document our progress.
